NATURE TEACHES US ABOUT TEXTURES,
STARTING WITH OUR EARLIEST DAYS OF CRAWLING
We know how to interpret an artist's caramel pudding smooth to
sandpaper rough. How do we tell the age of something, if it is not
through seeing textures. When I mentioned to my doctor that we were
just like trees, our skin gets rough and textured just like their
bark, his eyes opened wide in surprise. He told me he hadn't thought
of it like that.
Do we not love the bark of old trees? Is there not beauty in our old
skin?
