There is a
set of colors that always go well together, and is taught to
students of design schools. Because they are so appealing,
attractive, and never offensive, it follows that pictures done with
these colors, are also extremely saleable or commercial.
You may have to dig up an old book on design out of the local
library, to find this set. You will note that all of the colors have
been slightly tinted with white to soften them. The set basically
includes roses, peaches, whitish gold-tans, mossy greens, reddish
browns, grey-blues, and a soft black. You will also find them in the
color swatch section of your local hardware store.
Some painters use this set almost exclusively. Their sales are
generally much better than those who don't.
Used in conjunction with pure colors however, the interior design
colors are quite exciting.
